Dean Hoke is the Co Founder of Edu Alliance Ltd. and Managing Director of Edu Alliance Group Inc. an international higher educational consultancy firm based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and Bloomington Indiana.
Dean came to the United Arab Emirates in 2009 first with Higher Colleges of Technology as Head of Marketing and Institutional Development for the 20,000+ higher education system and for four years at Khalifa University with the UAE Advanced Network for Research and Education (Ankabut). In October 2014 he and Dr. Senthil Nathan opened a new educational management consulting firm, Edu Alliance, Ltd and in 2017 opened a US office in Bloomington, Indiana.
Dean has an extensive background in the fields of higher education, marketing, communications and E-Learning. He held a number of senior higher education administration posts as well as Co-Founder of Connected Learning Network a provider of online educational services for educational institutions. In the field of broadcasting he served as an executive and CEO of three public broadcasting stations, and Executive Vice President of a cable network. Beginning July 1st, 2023 he will become President/CEO of the American Association of University Administrators, and currently serves on the Advisory Board of Franklin University and Higher Education Digest. He is Co-host of the podcast series Distance Learning Roundtable and Higher Ed Without Borders.
He has a B.A. from Urbana University and an M.S. from the University of Louisville. He also is a graduate of the Executive Management Program at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Thanks for the comments and being a believer this move is best. I hope you are correct though I do not have the same level of enthusiasm as you. From the comments I received on the blog, Facebook & Twitter I believe many see this as the only way Urbana could survive and therefore keep it as an entity located in Urbana.
I wish you and Urbana University well. I hope one day I will visit when I return to the US and Ohio.

Dean, I am quite impressed and highly condone your research efforts, in bringingn to light facts, in this whole fake degree scam. As a student of the American education system, I find it sad and quite irritating that someone would try to obtain a degree from a supposed ” american” institution without even having gone through what a typical student goes through, in a real and actual learning instutution.
I appreciate you bringing up these issues in a public limelight.
